ZIP blinds get their name from the English «Zip», «Zipper» — which means «fastening». The side edges of these blinds are equipped with zippers that are tucked into the curtain guides. This design ensures stability and tension of the fabric, as well as high wind resistance of the structure, which is one of the main advantages of ZIP blinds.
It should be noted that all materials used in the manufacture of ZIP blinds are resistant to weather conditions: the curtains are not afraid of moisture, are easy to clean, the electrical and moving components are protected by a cover-box, the curtains can withstand the winter well. Operation at sub-zero temperatures is possible if the structure is not covered with ice.
ZIP blinds can be used not only outdoors, but also indoors. When using BlackOut fabrics indoors, it is possible to achieve complete blackout: an important advantage of the ZIP curtain design is the absence of glare along the entire perimeter of the structure due to the fact that the fabric is tucked into the side curtain guides.
Another type of fabric that we use in ZIP curtains is mosquito net. Thus, based on any Wellsun ZIP system, it is possible to produce automatic mosquito nets.
